Kent & White Insurance earns national award for corporate social responsibility

BATHURST – Kent & White Insurance, an Atlantic Canadian insurance brokerage, was awarded the prestigious CNA Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility at the Insurance Business Canada Awards gala in Toronto on November 17, 2022, in recognition of their significant contributions to communities and society at large. In addition to winning the award, Kent & White was the only independent brokerage in the country to make the group of finalists, which included national firms such as Medavie Blue Cross and Northbridge Insurance. 

The award is presented annually to the organization within the Canadian Insurance Industry whose outstanding contribution of time, leadership and financial support, beyond normal expectations, has made significant impacts in communities and causes. 

Headquartered in Bathurst, NB, the company is well-known in the communities where they serve for hundreds of volunteer hours from their team, significant financial contributions and initiatives designed to spread their motto of “Comfort. Consistently over the past few years, Kent & White has donated over 15% of their profits to causes close to their hearts. They’ve made meaningful contributions of both time and money to local hospitals, schools, business communities and national Veterans organizations. This year, they made a donation of $20,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support the relief efforts in Ukraine. “We believe strongly in our core value of taking care of one another.  This is a value that extends to our communities in which we serve,” said Mrs. Erin Schryer, who co-owns the business with her husband, Brian. “Our commitment to continuously improving the communities we serve only grows with time.
